Berisha returns to Norway
Transfer news from Hütteldorf: Forward Veton Berisha has moved with immediate effect to SK Brann Bergen. The 24-year old attacker returns to his native Norway with the side that finished third in last year's top flight ahead of the start of the new season.
Berisha arrived at the end of August 2017 from German second division outfit Greuther Fürth and would go on to make 58 appearances, scoring 9 goals and adding 3 assists in the process.
His contract was due to expire in summer 2020. Sporting Director Fredy Bickel had the following to say: "In the past weeks we’ve signalled to Veton Berisha, who during his time with the club has been a model pro, that we wouldn't be extending his contract. From there we received interest from different clubs and were able to reach an agreement with Brann Bergen over an undisclosed transfer fee. On behalf of the club, I’d like to thank Veton for his efforts in Rapid colours and wish him all the best for the next stage of his career."
Veton Berisha has already joined up with his new team mates in Norway. We wish him every success!
